Gordon Cubitt entered the motoring industry when he took an engineering apprenticeship at Rover Triumph after leaving school. Working there for 20 years, he took advantage of the many automotive courses available and passed with distinction.

His knowledge of the modern motor car soon passed between the management and he found himself repairing the boss’s car in his lunch break.  With this decent level of experience behind him, Gordon started a part time business tuning cars in his spare time, and in 1990 he chose to go full time in the business, forming Mastertune, which became Limited in 2004. He then became a Crypton Approved Technician and took and passed his City and guilds in Motor Vehicle Technology and Diagnostics.

He is a member of the FSB, The Institute of Motor Industry and the Guild Of Master Craftsman. The business is now profitable, and he can be found helping local garages and the public around the Coventry area, sorting out their vehicle problems.
