Diagnostics

The company is extremely capable of providing full diagnostic checks for both Petrol and Diesel engines. The equipment we use to complete these checks includes the Sun Modis (Modular On-board Diagnostic Information System) which is updated quarterly for current and new vehicles, as they are introduced. It incorporates a four channel oscilloscope to enable live readings of data the fault code system may miss and enable a more in depth diagnosis of the problems. This is also a scanner which can store live data in graphing form as we test drive to isolate those tricky stalling or intermittent faults. On our return we can replay stored data to pinpoint the faulty data just as the fault occurs. Fault codes provide the initial information regarding the area of the fault, and On-Board Diagnostics using live data pinpoints the problem.

Autodiagnos

This is a non dealer level tool that thinks it is, as it can perform many dealer level functions on a vast amount of vehicles such as key programming, diesel injector calibration on some vehicles, recode ECM and body controllers on some vehicles and the list would go on.

Rover Testbook

Specifically for Rover and Land Rover Vehicles. This is a dealer level tool which was used by the old Rover dealers and is still used by Land Rover for earlier vehicles. This lap top system is a very powerful tool, capable of code reading every single ECM in the vehicle and re-formatting and re-programming as required. This is required for fitting new ECM’s key coding etc, and also has full database of connector and wiring harness locations.

MB-Star

Used by the majority of Mercedes Benz dealers. This is also a very powerful tool and can perform on Mercedes and Mcc Smart, much the same as the tool above does for Rover Vehicles.

Ford I.D.S is the dealer level tool for Ford, Jaguar and later Land Rover Vehicles and will also cover Mazda at the same level. This will perform much the same as the above tools.
